A Time To Say Thanks by Ed Ennis On Saturday, August 11th, A Touch of Understanding, Inc. held its annual Volunteer Appreciation Picnic at Royer Park in Roseville. The Granite Bay-based organization teaches disability awareness, including programs for children, youth and adults.

Besides acknowledging the dedication of its speakers and activity instructors, the group gave special recognition to Linda Otley of Loomis, for her outstanding service as Founding Board President. This was also the occasion to welcome home Darlene Dusseau of Rocklin and her new guide dog, Callahan, upon the completion of their month-long training together at the Guide Dogs for the Blind facility at San Rafael.

A Touch of Understanding, Inc. wants to acknowledge the generosity of Togos and Sams Club of Roseville, and Ralphs of Granite Bay as sponsors of this event.
